Wild Fire: Mixed media, 12"X12"
My most recent explorations have been centered around getting the most "mixed" effect on the surface of paintings using almost all acrylic paint and products. In this piece I using Golden Molding Paste and Fluid Acrylics to reflect the intensity of the flames when a wildfire sweeps over the hills. With the various pastes, texture and surface interest is created which allows the paint to find interesting places to pool and collect. I also added a "skin" to the surface created from Copper Iridescent paint to highlight the painting. | |
